Health minister explains cancellation of 2024 medical fees tariff

Health Minister Firas Al-Hawari revealed the reasons behind the cancellation of the 2024 medical fees tariff list. 

The decision, he stated during a press conference, was made primarily to protect the interests and safety of citizens, following the discovery of several unapproved procedures in the list adopted by the Medical Association.

Minister Hawari emphasized the importance of reconsidering the tariff list and discussing any new amendments that take into account the interests of citizens while protecting the rights of doctors. 

In response, the Medical Association, through its media committee chairman Dr. Hazem Al-Qarala, announced its total rejection of the ministry’s decision. 

Qarala told Roya that the association would resort to the administrative court and take escalating steps against any entity that refuses to implement the tariff list.
