The ArabiaWeather website reported that several parts of the Arabian Peninsula are expected to be affected by a heatwave, with temperatures rising to 50°C in several countries.

ArabiaWeather noted that the high-pressure system in the upper layers of the atmosphere is expected to intensify over the region gradually by the end of this week.

This development coincides with the deepening of the surface thermal low in the eastern part of the Arabian Peninsula, leading to an increase in heat intensity.

Temperatures are expected to rise significantly by the end of this week in Iraq, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, and the UAE, with temperatures reaching the forties in most areas. Several parts of Iraq, Kuwait, and eastern Saudi Arabia are expected to hit the 50°C mark.

ArabiaWeather further stated that these countries are anticipated to once again top the list of the highest recorded temperatures globally by the end of the week. This comes after Algerian cities recently topped the list, surpassing all Gulf countries.
