Hamas ambushes “Israeli” foot patrol with IED, several casualties reported

The military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movements (Hamas), Al-Qassam Brigades, said today that it successfully detonated an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) targeting an “Israeli” foot patrol, resulting in casualties and injuries among their ranks in the Shuja'iyya neighborhood of Gaza City.

On their official Telegram channel, Al-Qassam added that the IED was an anti-personnel charge, which is specifically designed to kill or injure military forces rather than to damage buildings or equipment.

An “Israeli” Merkava 4 tank was also completely destroyed with a "Shwaz 3" explosive device, causing it to catch fire on Baghdad Street in the Shuja'iyya neighborhood in Gaza City.

Yesterday, an Israeli "Merkava 4" tank was targeted with a "Yassin-105" rocket on Baghdad Street in the Shuja'iyya neighborhood in eastern Gaza City.

Additionally, Al-Qassam Brigades, in coordination with the Nasser Salah al-Din Brigades, targeted the “enemy's command and control site in the Netzarim area south of Gaza City with several short-range rockets” – according to their statement. 

A large number of Al-Qassam fighters launched an assault Friday on the Israeli Occupation Forces’ (IOF) fortified operations command center southeast of the Tel al-Sultan neighborhood in Rafah.

The attack, which included anti-fortification shells, anti-personnel explosives, sniping operations, and medium machine gun fire, resulted in multiple casualties among the IOF.
