50 Ukrainian drones shot down by Russian forces, Defense Ministry says

The Russian Ministry of Defense confirmed on Friday that its forces destroyed 50 Ukrainian drones within Russian territory.

The ministry clarified that the drones were destroyed over Krasnodar and Rostov in Russia, and in Zaporizhzhia in Ukraine, which Russia claims to have annexed.

The governor of Krasnodar announced the death of a child and the injury of five people in an attack by a Ukrainian drone in the city of Primorsko-Akhtarsk.

In a statement on Telegram, the ministry added that "air defense systems destroyed 14 drones over Krasnodar, 26 over the Zaporizhzhia region, and 10 over the Rostov region."

Russia had previously announced the annexation of Zaporizhzhia, but it does not fully control the region.
