The image of the "Israeli" captives, whom the Israeli Occupation retrieved during a military operation in the Nuseirat refugee camp in the Gaza Strip on Saturday, sparked significant controversy on social media.

Jewish-American journalist Max Blumenthal posted on X a picture of Argamani alongside an image of previously released Palestinian prisoners, commenting on the stark contrast.

He pointed out that “In January, Noa Argamani was wounded and nearly killed in an Israeli airstrike which killed two Israeli hostages with her at the time. As many former captives have acknowledged, the greatest threat they faced in Gaza was from the Israeli military.”
Others posted a picture of a Palestinian prisoner before his capture and after his release, showing that he developed cancer during captivity and died shortly after his release.
Some commenters recalled images from a previous prisoner exchange, where the "Israeli" captives were seen waving goodbye to their captors as they were handed over to Red Cross teams in Gaza. This incident sparked outrage in Israeli Occupation, leading to demands to ban the broadcasting of prisoner exchanges and prevent released captives from speaking to the media.
Meanwhile, Amnesty International highlighted Israeli Occupation's mistreatment of Palestinian prisoners and detainees, reporting that they are subjected to beatings and humiliation.

Amnesty stated that it has "testimonies and video evidence of the torture and mistreatment of Palestinian detainees who are subjected to beatings and humiliation, such as being ordered not to raise their heads, to kneel on the ground, and to sing Israeli songs under terrible detention conditions."
