Traffic changes and closures Sunday

The Jordanian public joins in celebrating the Silver Jubilee of His Majesty King Abdullah II's ascension to the throne and assumption of constitutional powers.

The Traffic Department announced a traffic plan for the Silver Jubilee celebrations on Sunday, June 9, 2024. The plan includes deploying many traffic officers and patrols to guide and assist citizens, and designating parking areas for those attending the royal procession and national events.

The Traffic Department urged everyone to follow the instructions of traffic officers on the roads to facilitate movement and provide services.

Major Ahmad Al-Zreiqat stated that checkpoints and control points would be established, with traffic diversions to ease movement and closures at celebration sites and the main event location. The route for the royal red motorcade would also be closed.

Al-Zreiqat, speaking on Public Security Radio, called on citizens to adhere to traffic laws and avoid serious violations and road closures.
