Jordan dispatches 40 aid trucks to Gaza; totaling 120 in past week

Jordan has dispatched a new aid truck convoy to the Gaza Strip comprising 40 trucks, thus raising the number of Jordanian trucks sent to Gaza in the past week to 120 trucks.

The new convoy was organized by the Jordanian Armed Forces-Arab Army and the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO), supported by various organizations, companies, and institutions including Anera, Al-Israa Hospital, Al-Jazeera Hospital, Amman Chamber of Industry, Amman Chamber of Commerce, and others.

“The trucks carried essential food parcels, consumables, medical supplies, and medications to be distributed to our people in Gaza through partner associations and organizations in the sector,” the statement by the JHCO said.

Dr. Hussein Al-Shibli, Secretary-General of the JHCO, stated that during this week, the organization ensured to cover the necessary needs for Gazans, cooperating with several institutions, companies, and organizations to ensure diversity of materials and donations.

He added that the trucks loaded with relief, medical, and food supplies are delivered to the relevant authorities to reach the largest possible number of beneficiaries among our people in Gaza.

Al-Shibli clarified that the total number of land trucks that have entered Gaza until today is 1797 trucks and 53 planes through Al-Arish.
