EU highlights Jordan’s efforts in regional stability, security

The European Union Arabic Spokesperson for the Middle East and North Africa, Luis Miguel Bueno, praised Jordan's role in supporting the security and stability of the region and emphasized the importance of Jordan's efforts regarding the Palestinian issue and its relentless endeavors towards achieving a just and comprehensive peace leading to a two-state solution.

Bueno highlighted a shared Arab and European vision and coherent dimensions between the two sides, including the proposal for an international conference to pave the way for discussions aimed at ending the war and hostile actions carried out by the Israeli Occupation for years, with the goal of reaching a comprehensive political solution.

Meanwhile, the European Union's High Representative for Foreign Affairs, Josep Borrell, reiterated their continuous support for the Palestinian Authority, especially under these circumstances, so that it can resume its responsibilities not only in the West Bank but also in Gaza and East Jerusalem.

He added that there are intensive consultations and coordination between Jordan and the European Union at various levels to halt the war on Gaza, noting the momentum gained by ministerial meetings held in Brussels last week, with the participation of Jordan, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar, and the Arab League.
