The Chinese President Xi Jinping called for a wide-ranging peace conference to resolve the "Israeli" war on Palestine.

The president emphasized at the China-Arab Cooperation Forum on Thursday that justice in the Middle East cannot remain absent forever. Xi highlighted the region's vast development potential, stressing the need for a more reliable and effective international peace conference.

The president expressed a deep sense of familiarity with Arab countries, aiming to strengthen ties during the forum in Beijing. He noted that every meeting with Arab friends reinforces this bond, rooted in historical exchanges along the ancient Silk Road.

Xi pledged to deepen energy cooperation with Arab nations, reaffirming China's role as a major oil importer from the region. He committed to enhancing strategic cooperation in oil and gas, integrating supply security with market stability. China also plans to collaborate with Arab nations in modern energy technology research and development, supporting renewable energy projects exceeding three million kilowatts.

In late 2022, Xi visited Saudi Arabia to discuss deepening energy cooperation, marking a significant step in China's growing influence in the Middle East. This expansion has caused concern in Washington, which warns of the potential negative consequences of increased Chinese presence in the region.

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, along with leaders from the UAE, Bahrain, and Tunisia, are on an official visit to China from May 28 to June 1. They will attend the opening ceremony of the 10th Ministerial Conference of the China-Arab Cooperation Forum.

The delegation includes King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain, Tunisian President Kais Saied, and UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Deng Li noted that President Xi will participate in the forum and deliver a speech on Thursday. Xi is set to hold bilateral talks with the visiting leaders, discussing regional and international issues of mutual interest. The forum, co-chaired by Chinese top diplomat Wang Yi and his Mauritanian counterpart, aims to deepen consensus between China and Arab countries.
