More than three dozen Democrats in the United States House of Representatives sent a letter to President Joe Biden, arguing that an “Israeli” invasion of Rafah in south Gaza violated the memorandum he signed last month which states that recipient of US aid has to “provide and credible written assurances” of complying with international law.

Among those who signed the letter are Rep Joaquin Castro, Jamie Raskin, and Jan Schakowsky, and includes many senior Democrats close allies of Biden - per Axios.

They urged Biden to "use every tool at [Biden’s] disposal to ensure ... that all recipients of U.S. aid are held accountable to the commitments demanded by the memorandum,” and that an attack on Rafah “would likely contravene” this.

The invasion of the border city of Rafah, which houses over 1.5 million displaced Palestinians, would be another blow to the already catastrophic humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip - a plan that Biden has voiced opposition to unless “Israel” can secure the evacuation of the displaced residents.

Pressures are growing on Democrats and incumbent president Joe Biden, as they face excruciating domestic pressure due to the US’ support of the Israeli Occupation aggression against Gaza.

A Times/Siena poll conducted earlier showed that 57 percent of Americans disagree with President Joe Biden's handling of the ongoing Israeli Occupation aggression.

According to the survey, younger Americans are more likely to be critical of the Israeli Occupation and the Biden administration's response to the war in the Gaza Strip.

Harvard also published a poll earlier indicating that 67 percent of Americans who are young adults justified what Hamas conducted on October 7, and that the majority of young Americans aged 18 to 24 adopt positions that are not supportive of the Israeli Occupation and are sometimes opposed to it.
