Palestinian women forced to strip, sexually harassed by “Israeli” army, Euro-Med reports

The Euro-Mediterranean Observatory for Human Rights documented testimonies from Palestinian female detainees from the Gaza Strip who were subjected to torture, inhumane treatment, forced nudity, and harassment, as well as threats of rape by Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) during the varying periods of detention.

The Observatory stated that testimonies from recently released detainees included experiences of severe practices amounting to torture. These practices included brutal beatings, threats of rape for non-compliance with officers' orders, forced stripping in front of male soldiers, abusive language, binding and blindfolding them for long periods, and confinement in open cages amid extremely cold conditions.

Furthermore, the detainees were deprived of food, medication, necessary medical treatment, and feminine hygiene products. They were continuously threatened with being deprived of seeing their children, in addition to Israeli forces looting their money and belongings upon arrest.
