Transport ministers from The Group of Seven (G7) — an intergovernmental political and economic forum consisting of Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom and the United States — plan to hold a conference on Tuesday to discuss the crisis in the Red Sea and its impact on maritime navigation.

Since Nov. 19, the Houthis have been carrying out attacks on commercial ships in the Red Sea and the Arabian Sea, suspected to be linked to the Israeli Occupation or directed towards its ports, in response to the aggression against Gaza.

Meanwhile, British and American forces responded with strikes on Houthi-affiliated sites.
