Destabilization of region lies squarely on “Israel,” says Safadi

Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi emphasized on Saturday that the ongoing Israeli Occupation aggression on the Gaza Strip, persisting for the past 134 days, poses a significant threat to security and stability in the region.

He highlighted a notable shift in international attitudes, urging pressure on Tel Aviv to cease its aggression against Gaza, while acknowledging the intensified efforts to deliver aid.

Safadi also issued a stark warning about the persisting catastrophic humanitarian conditions in Gaza, which have remained unchanged despite the onset of the month of Ramadan. Additionally, he underscored the deteriorating regional situation, squarely placing the blame on “Israel” for the resulting disaster.

Furthermore, Safadi stressed that Tel Aviv cannot achieve genuine security unless Palestinians obtain their own state, emphasizing the necessity of an independent Palestinian state capable of upholding security and peace.

He reiterated Jordan's steadfast rejection of any plan aimed at isolating the Gaza Strip, noting ongoing coordination with Egypt, which shares Jordan's position on the matter.
