Prime Minister Bisher Al-Khasawneh begins an official visit to Japan on Thursday, during which he will hold discussions with Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida focusing on the bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to enhance them in all fields.

During the visit, the Prime Minister, accompanied by Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship Ahmed Hanandeh, Minister of Investment Kholoud Saqqaf, and Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Zeina Toukan, will also meet with several Japanese officials to discuss prospects for expanding cooperation and partnership between Jordan and Japan, particularly in economic, developmental, and investment areas.

Khasawneh's visit to Japan also aims to conduct political discussions on issues of mutual interest and the situation in the region, especially regarding the ongoing Israeli Occupation aggression on the Gaza Strip.

It will focus on intensifying efforts to achieve an immediate ceasefire and sustainably deliver humanitarian aid, as well as working towards finding a political horizon for the Palestinian issue, ensuring the establishment of an independent Palestinian state within the framework of a two-state solution and relevant international legitimacy resolutions.
