US House Panel recommends USD 17.6 billion in military aid to 'Israel'

A United States House of Representatives’ panel has recommended providing military aid worth USD 17.6 billion to the Israeli Occupation, in addition to the USD 10 billion that Washington committed since the beginning of the aggression on Gaza.

Mike Johnson, Speaker of the United States House of Representatives, stated in a letter to members that the funding bill might come to a vote in the entire council during the coming week.

The Republican-controlled House of Representatives had previously approved USD 14.3 billion in military aid funding for "Israel".

The USD 17.6 billion includes funding to help replenish Israel's missile defense systems, procure additional advanced weapons systems, and produce artillery and other munitions - as reported by Reuters.

Meanwhile, the Israeli Occupation continues its aggression on the Gaza Strip for the 121st day, with continuous bombardment targeting civilians in the strip, the death toll has reached 27,238 and 66,452 injured since Oct. 7, 2023 - according to the latest statistics from the Ministry of Health in Gaza.
