French warship turned hospital departs from Sinai after treating 100 Palestinians

French warship “The Dixmude,” which was anchored off the coast of Arish in northern Sinai, Egypt, has departed after treating over 100 wounded individuals from the Gaza Strip, according to the Governor of North Sinai, Mohamed Abdel-Fadil Shousa.

The warship turned field hospital had arrived on Nov. 27, 2023, and was equipped with two surgical wards, more than 40 beds, and 80 medical staff, including doctors and nurses.

The ship treated "more than 100 children, women, and men from Gaza," according to the French Ambassador to Egypt, Éric Chevallier.
