The spokesperson for the Palestinian police, Colonel Loay Erzekat, stated that unidentified individuals ran over and kidnapped a child in the city of Jericho.

Erzekat added that the kidnappers demanded a ransom in exchange for handing the child back to his family.

Palestinian police have initiated an investigation and are pursuing the abductors, Erzekat said.
