“Israeli special forces” operate inside Lebanon for first time since 2006

The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) claimed that its special forces targeted and eliminated a Hezbollah unit inside of Lebanon, in the village of Ita al-Sha'ab area - marking the first incursion of the IOF inside of Lebanon since the 2006 war.

IOF aircraft also targeted a Hezbollah anti-tank missile launcher in the area of Kfar Kila in southern Lebanon.

Hezbollah-affiliated News outlet “Al Mayadeen” denied that the operation took place, stating that the soldiers from the IOF’s Maglan Commando Unit attempted to infiltrate across the border to plant surveillance devices, but were detected and aborted the mission.
