“Israeli Major” killed in south Gaza battles, two soldiers injured

The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) announced the death of a major in addition to the serious injury of two others in battles in the southern Gaza Strip.

Sergeant major (Reserve) Nitzan Shasler, 21 years old, in the 7155 Battalion Hanit (55) formation - was killed in south Gaza battles.

Major (Reserve) Barak Ayalon, 45 years old, was also killed earlier Sunday as a result of a Hezbollah anti-tank missile in Kfar Yuval.

According to the Official IOF death toll, 522 soldiers have been killed since Oct. 7, 2023, and 188 since the start of the ground invasion on Oct.27.

2,541 IOF personnel were injured since Oct.7, with 388 of them described as critical, 675 in moderate condition, and 1,478 in a mild state.
