UK Marine Operations reports incident offshore Eritrea's Assab

The United Kingdom Marine Trade Operations (UKMTO) announced Tuesday that it had received a report about an incident approximately 57 nautical miles northwest of the Eritrean city of Assab in the southern Red Sea.

The military spokesperson for the Houthi group, Yahya Saree, declared that Houthi naval forces carried out a military operation targeting an American ship in the Gulf of Aden.

Saree stated in Monday evening's press statements that the Houthis consider American and British ships as part of their military targets and emphasized that they would continue their military operations in the Red Sea until the aggression on Gaza ceases.
