Biden’s patience with Netanyahu “running out”

United States President Joe Biden and senior American officials are reportedly becoming “increasingly frustrated” with the Israeli Occupation Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for his rejection of most of the administration’s requests regarding the aggression on the Gaza Strip - as reported by Axios citing four US officials.

"The situation sucks and we are stuck. The president's patience is running out," one official said.

Biden and his advisers believe that the Israeli Occupation isn't doing enough to allow humanitarian aid into Gaza, in addition to Netnayahu’s unwillingness to seriously discuss his plans for the “day after” and his rejection of the American proposal for the Palestinian Authority to have a role in post-war Gaza.

Biden hasn't spoken to Netanyahu since Dec. 23, 2023 where a tense phone call took place. "This conversation is over," Biden said and hung up, after Netanyahu rejected Biden’s request to release the Palestinian Authority’s tax funds which the Israeli Occupation was withholding.

"There is immense frustration," a US official said, as Biden and Netanyahu previously spoke almost every other day in the first two months of the aggression.

The Biden administration is also growing increasingly concerned that the Israeli Occupation is not scaling down to “low-intensity operations” in the Gaza Strip, as Biden has taken a political hit for his full diplomatic and military support for the Israeli Occupation in a critical election year.
