An Israeli Occupation military analyst, Amos Harel, stated that Tel Aviv is far from achieving a decisive victory in the Gaza Strip, according to an article by the Hebrew newspaper Haaretz.

"After nearly 100 days of war with Hamas, it is clear that Tel Aviv is still far from achieving its declared goals. The attack on October 7th came due to the glaring failures revealed in the intelligence community, the defensive concept of the army, and the slow response of the army to assist the settlers near Gaza, which shook the country profoundly," he added

"One of the results was an unusually widespread consensus regarding the need to deliver a lethal blow to Hamas."

The article added that "occupying the northern part of the Gaza Strip and the recent expansion of the operation to its central and southern parts significantly harmed Hamas and caused severe humanitarian suffering for the entire population of the Strip. However, Tel Aviv is not close to achieving a decisive victory, and under these circumstances, it will face difficulty achieving that in the future as well."

"It is challenging to hide this fact because the army is in the midst of reducing its forces in the Gaza Strip, representing a transition to a new stage in the war, which the government tried to conceal from the public," the article read.
