Jordanian courts address over 500,000 cases in 2023

The Jordanian Judicial Council reported that in 2023, the courts addressed over 500,000 cases, achieving an 85 percent resolution rate with high quality.

The average duration of litigation in lawsuits during the year was remarkably short at 59 days.

Additionally, the Public Prosecution returned over 13 million dinars to the state treasury in 2023, focusing on the work of the Economic Crimes Committee and the Tax and Customs Public Prosecution.

The Secretary-General of the Judicial Council highlighted that juvenile courts applied 5,000 non-custodial measures throughout the year.
