20 killed in two explosions near Qassem Soleimani’s grave in Kerman, Iran

Iranian state media reported that two explosions took place in Kerman, south Iran near the cemetery where the former Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps’ (IRGC) commander Qasem Soleimani is buried - with the death toll reaching 20 so far, with dozens of others injured.

“Tasnim” news agency reported that ambulances have arrived at the scene with a number of injuries reported after which they were transported to medical centers to receive treatment.

Today, January 3, marks the four year anniversary of his death.

In 2020, Soleimani was killed by a United States drone strike in Iraq near the Baghdad International Airport.
