The Palestinian Commission of Detainees Affairs announced that the number of female prisoners in Damon Prison has risen to 76, including 43 from Gaza, 18 from the West Bank, and the rest from Jerusalem and the occupied territories within Israel.

The Commission affirmed that all female prisoners face deliberate medical neglect by the prison administration, in addition to receiving poor food and the confiscation of all their clothes and personal belongings.

It further stated that all female prisoners suffer from abdominal and kidney pain due to the high chlorine content in the drinking water.

The Commission emphasized that the female prisoners endure extremely difficult conditions, with their prison cells being almost daily raided, and the confiscation of their basic life necessities.

The number of prisoners in the Occupation’s prisons reached approximately 7,800 by the end of November, including 76 female prisoners and 260 children. The number of administrative detainees was 2,870, according to data released by the Commission.
