Tel Aviv Airports Authority raises traffic fees for land crossings to Jordan, Egypt in 2024
Tel Aviv Airports Authority announced an increase in traffic fees across the five land border crossings connecting the occupied territories with Jordan and Egypt.
The revised tariff, slated to take effect in 2024, covers the King Hussein (Allenby) crossing, the Jordan River (Sheikh Hussein) crossing with Jordan, and the Yitzhak Rabin, Menachem Begin, and Nitzana crossings with Egypt.
The adjustments apply not only to tourist fees but also include shipping costs. Starting in 2024, passengers at the King Hussein crossing will see an increase from 109 shekels in 2023 to 197 shekels, while shipping fees will rise from 233 shekels to 241 shekels.
Similarly, at the Jordan River crossing, passenger fees will go up from 109 shekels in 2023 to 113 shekels in 2024, and shipping fees will increase from 221 shekels to 229 shekels.
Notably, the exchange rate is one shekel to 20 Jordanian piasters.
