'Israeli real estate firm' sparks outrage with satirical ads for housing project in devastated Gaza

Harey Zahav, a prominent Israeli Occupation real estate company specializing in housing for Jewish settlers, has sparked controversy on social media by announcing a new housing project in Gaza.

Despite the devastation and ongoing humanitarian crisis in the region, the company released ads featuring slogans like "Wake up, a beach house is not a dream" and outlined plans to return to Gush Katif, the evacuated settlements in Gaza.

The image also said, "Soon, all those held captive will return home safely, soldiers will reunite with their families, and construction will commence throughout Gush Katif."

The company's drawings depict efforts to "prepare the ground" for construction, including reclaiming land and removing Palestinians who the company referred to as "occupiers."

Harey Zahav claims the campaign was intended as satire, which caused even more criticism as many called this an exploitation of the tragedy people in Gaza are going through where over 20,000 were killed, most of whom were children, since October 7.
