Thursday, King Abdullah II welcomed French President Emmanuel Macron to Aqaba for a two-day visit.
The Elysee Palace stated, "This meeting provides an opportunity to resume collaborative efforts with our Jordanian partners on humanitarian and medical aid for the civilian population in the Gaza Strip."

Two new French planes are en route to Amman, delivering humanitarian aid for Gaza civilians, with the first arriving today and the second scheduled for December 26.
During the visit, Macron will engage with French soldiers at a Jordanian air base, commemorating Christmas with deployed troops and emphasizing France's enduring commitment to counterterrorism, as stated by the French presidency.
Amidst a political upheaval in France, President Macron is set to address 350 French soldiers on Thursday evening at the base, inviting them to a Christmas dinner prepared by French presidential chefs.
