PHOTOS - Israeli Occupation targets Gaza's Holy Family Church
Photographs unveil extensive damage caused by recent Israeli Occupation military actions targeting the Holy Family Church in the Gaza Strip on Friday.
The assault led to the destruction of the Latin Monastery and the residence of Mother Teresa's nuns within the church premises, causing the tragic loss of two Palestinians (a mother and her daughter) and injuring 10 others.
The church, currently a refuge for over 600 displaced Palestinians, including elderly individuals and children with disabilities, is attended to by nuns of diverse nationalities. The besieged church inhabitants endure dire humanitarian circumstances as they remain targeted within its confines and courtyards.
The ongoing blockade imposed by the Israeli Occupation Forces surrounding the church in Gaza raises concerns of potential evacuation threats.
In a separate incident, the Young Men's Christian Association in Gaza, accommodating 300 displaced individuals, faced Israeli Occupation bombardment on Saturday morning, resulting in the death of 6 Palestinians and injuring others.
Israeli Occupation Forces, in a deliberate act on October 19, targeted the Greek Orthodox Church in central Gaza City, also providing shelter to displaced persons.
This tragic incident led to the loss of 18 Palestinian lives. Pope Francis from the Vatican condemned Tel Aviv's utilization of "terroristic" methods in the Gaza Strip.
