The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) announced the injury of seven soldiers during the raids on the city of Jenin and its camp on Thursday. The wounded were transported to hospitals and are currently receiving treatment.

The IOF claimed earlier Thursday to have taken disciplinary measures against soldiers who desecrated a mosque in Jenin.

The IOF’s spokesperson to Arab media, Avichay Adraee, stated Thursday that "the fighters were immediately removed from operational activity. As soon as the video clips were received, [IOF] commanders conducted a preliminary investigation into the circumstances of the incident."

Adraee added that "the behavior of the fighters shown in the videos is dangerous and completely contrary to the values of the [IOF], and disciplinary measures will be taken against the soldiers accordingly."

In contrast, Minister of National Security of the Occupation Itamar Ben-Gvir boasted about the IOF soldiers desecrating mosques, and praised them for entering a mosque in Jenin and performing a Talmudic ritual inside.

The Palestinian Minister of Holy sites and Religious Affairs, Hatem Al-Bakri, condemned the IOF actions against the mosques in Jenin, their desecration, and the performance of Talmudic rituals inside them using loudspeakers.

Al-Bakri stated Thursday that the desecration of mosques is contrary to international norms and will increase tension and drag the region into undesirable consequences. He called on society, international institutions, and global religious authorities to condemn and criminalize this behavior.

The occupation continues its aggression against the city of Jenin and its camp for the third consecutive day, resulting in the martyrdom of 12 Palestinians and the injury and arrest of hundreds - per official numbers from the Palestinian Ministry of Health.
