“I am a Zionist”: Joe Biden
Speaking at the annual White House ceremony for the Jewish Festival of Lights, Hanukkah, United States President Joe Biden stated that the “US will continue to provide military aid to [the Israeli Occupation] until they get rid of Hamas.”
“I am a Zionist,” Biden added,"The public opinion [of the whole world] can shift overnight. We can't let that happen" he emphasized, in response to the shifting global opinion of the Israeli Occupation amidst its ongoing aggression against the Gaza Strip.
“My commitment to the safety…and the security of [the Israeli Occupation]...is unshakeable.”
The Biden administration has been facing growing internal discord within, as several staff have been growing unhappy with the administration's support of the Israeli Occupation in the aggression and the overwhelming civilian death toll and the resulting humanitarian catastrophe in the Strip.
Earlier this week, the United States approved the sale of approximately 13,981 120mm tank rounds to Israel in an emergency deal worth $106.5 million, according to the U.S. Department of State, as announced in a notification to Congress.
According to a Washington Times report, this deal comes amid escalating political tensions over the situation in Gaza. The US decision is seen as a response to political pressures, with Republicans opposing President Joe Biden's administration's request for new military aid to Tel Aviv and Kyiv. Democrats, on the other hand, are divided over the use of American weapons in light of the ongoing events and their impact on Palestinian civilians.
The US Department of State confirmed that an emergency situation justifies the immediate sale of these weapons to the Israeli government, bypassing the usual Congressional review process.
