Outbreak of Smallpox reported among Gaza's children
The Director of the Martyr Mohammed Yusuf Al-Najjar Hospital in south of the Gaza Strip, Dr. Marwan Al-Hams, stated that measles is spreading among children in the Strip noting that the hospital receives around 1500 cases of gastrointestinal diseases daily.
Al-Hams added Tuesday that the gastrointestinal diseases reaching the hospital are a result of the acute food shortage in the region. He pointed out the prevalence of diarrhea and influenza among the displaced in Rafah, describing the situation there as catastrophic.
The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) continues its aggression against the Gaza Strip for the 69th consecutive day with the death toll with the death toll rising to 18,205 martyrs, including 7,739 children and 4,885 women, with over 49,645 injured, per official numbers from the Gaza Ministry of Health.
