In a recent tweet, investigative journalist Max Blumenthal provided evidence accusing the Israeli Occupation government of disseminating a misleading image purportedly depicting a victim of rape by Hamas during the Nova music festival on Oct. 7.

Blumenthal contends that the image predates the mentioned date and is likely a photo of a deceased Kurdish fighter whose body was desecrated.

The original image, according to Blumenthal, can be traced back to a Japanese website dated May 2023.

Accompanying the tweet are two images – the original one from the Japanese site and the one published by the Israeli Occupation Foreign Ministry.

Blumenthal said the Israeli Occupation government presented the altered image to foreign journalists, suggesting a false narrative.

The journalist emphasized the need for careful scrutiny of such images, calling into question the credibility of the Israeli Occupation government's portrayal of events at the Nova music festival.
