Army thwarts drug smuggling attempt at Syrian border, 3 smugglers killed

The Eastern Military Zone thwarted an attempt to smuggle large quantities of drugs from Syrian territories. Three smugglers were killed during the operation.

A military source from the General Command of the Jordanian Armed Forces - the Arab Army, stated that Border Guard Forces, in coordination with the Anti-Narcotics Department and military security agencies, intercepted a group of smugglers attempting an unauthorized border crossing from Syrian territories into Jordan. Rapid response patrols were deployed, engaging the smugglers with direct gunfire.

The source mentioned the seizure of 233,000 Captagon pills and 528 kilograms of hashish, all of which were handed over to the relevant authorities.
