Both Al-Qassam Brigades and Al-Quds Brigades participated in the prisoner exchange process on Tuesday, as they handed over the released captives from the Gaza Strip to the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) via Rafah Border Crossing.

This marks the first time in five days that captives are being handed over as part of a joint group between Al-Qassam Brigades and Al-Quds Brigades since the start of the prisoner exchange process last Friday.

The Qatari Foreign Ministry announced that those released from Gaza include nine women and one minor - the women's nationalities include one Austrian woman, two Argentians, and one Philipine woman.

The captives will be transported through the Kerem Shalom border crossing.

This is the fifth batch of the exchange deal, it included 10 “Israeli captives” in addition to some Thai captives who are outside the framework of the deal - the release of 6-8 other Thais is expected.

The Israeli Occupation Prison Service (IPS) has started preparations to transfer the 30 Palestinian prisoners scheduled for release on Tuesday, amid anticipation for the exchange of the fifth batch of prisoners.
