Thousands protest in front of Netanyahu's residence
Thousands of “Israelis” protested in Tel Aviv in front of the residence of the Israeli Occupation Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu Saturday evening, demanding the release of all captives in Gaza held by Hamas.
The protesters also called for Netanyahu's departure from the government, describing him as a failure.
The protests come on the second day of the truce agreement, during which the release of 50 detainees from Gaza is supposed to take place in exchange for 150 Palestinian prisoners in the Israeli Occupation prisons.
Earlier on Thursday, the delivery of the second batch of captives held by the Al-Qassam Brigades to the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) was delayed due to the Occupation's violations of the truce agreement, according to official statements by Hamas.
Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) granted Hamas until midnight to release the second batch of captives or else it would restart ground operation and resume fighting.
Al-Qassam Brigades confirmed that the delay in releasing the second batch of captives will continue until the occupation commits to the terms of the truce agreement regarding the entry of aid trucks to northern Gaza and adhere to the agreed-upon standards for the release of prisoners.
Osama Hamdan, a senior member in the Hamas movement, stated that there are talks through intermediaries to address and resolve these violations and resume the captive exchange.
