UPDATED: 'Israeli artillery' shells Kuwait School next to Indonesian hospital in Gaza
Israeli Occupation artillery shelled the Kuwait School next to the Indonesian hospital, which houses a number of displaced persons, on Monday morning, according to the Palestinian news agency WAFA.
The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) have been besieging and shelling the vicinity of the Indonesian Hospital for hours.
They launched several direct missiles toward the Kuwait School near the hospital, which shelters a number of displaced individuals.
Due to the communication blackout in the northern Gaza Strip and the blockade imposed by IOF around the Indonesian Hospital, the exact number of casualties, injuries, and the extent of the damage caused by IOF bombardment on the school are yet to be determined.
Initial reports suggest dozens of deaths and injuries in the attack.
Notably, at least eight Palestinians were killed and others were injured Monday morning as a result of the IOF directly targeting the Indonesian hospital north of Gaza City with live ammunition and heavy artillery shells in its vicinity.
The IOF fired live ammunition directly at the Indonesian hospital, which is filled with wounded people, simultaneously with the intense shelling of the hospital's surroundings.
This led to the injury of several Palestinians, including a doctor.
Additionally, the vicinity of the Al-Awda Hospital in the northern Gaza Strip was also shelled, according to WAFA.
The IOF shelling caused a power outage in the hospital after its generators stopped working.
