'Israeli soldier' dead after tunnel operation between Jerusalem, Bethlehem

It was announced Thursday evening that the Israeli Occupation soldier who was seriously injured in the tunnel operation between Jerusalem and Bethlehem in the West Bank has died, according to official Hebrew media.

Seven injuries were reported among Israeli Occupation soldiers and settlers, with one of them seriously injured who was later confirmed dead.

Roya's correspondent reported that the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) closed the main entrance to Hebron and all entrances leading to Bethlehem completely.

He mentioned that the IOF closed the Deir Sharaf checkpoint northwest of Nablus, while Israeli Occupation settlers attacked Palestinian vehicles at the Teneeb checkpoint between Nablus and Tulkarem.

This comes in the aftermath of the operation that took place at the Tunnel checkpoint near Bethlehem, where three young men opened fire at Israeli Occupation settlers and soldiers.

The IOF then opened fire at the young men, leading to their martyrdom.

The Israeli Occupation police later stated that the operation took place at the Tunnel Crossing in occupied Jerusalem, carried out by three Palestinians who were targeted by the security forces present at the scene.
