The military spokesperson for Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, Abu Ubaida, stated in an audio message Monday evening that after 38 days of Operation Aqsa Typhoon, Al-Qassam fighters continue to confront the invading Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF), 'delivering blows' to the enemy and targeting its gatherings with mortar shells.

He announced the death of the 'Israeli army' conscript "Faul Azai Mark Asiani," who was killed in an Israeli airstrike on Nov. 9, 2023.

Abu Ubaida added that our fighters managed to destroy 20 IOF vehicles in the last 48 hours.

Abu Ubaida remarked, "The dreams of the Zionist war leaders to eliminate our resistance are an attempt to escape from defeat."

The captives' deal was supposed to include, in return, the release of 200 Palestinian children and 75 women.

He said that the Israeli Occupation requested the release of 100 women and children from its captives in Gaza.

He noted that Hamas informed the mediators that it could agree to a five-day ceasefire, releasing 50 women and children.

He affirmed that the proposed ceasefire, aimed at releasing some captives in Gaza, includes a cessation of hostilities and allowing aid to enter the Strip, but the enemy is procrastinating.
