Dior reportedly replaces Bella Hadid with ‘Israeli model’ over pro-Palestine posts
French luxury brand, Dior, has reportedly replaced Bella Hadid with ‘Israeli model’, May Tager, to lead their new holiday ad campaign, a role Hadid has previously occupied. The replacement was reported by Turkish and Hebrew sources, although no official statements were made by Dior nor by Hadid.
The choice to feature ‘Israeli model’ May Tager has sparked outrage on social media, with users launching the hashtag #BoycottDior and calling into question the French brand's bias.
Hadid, in support of her Palestinian roots, has been a staunch supporter of the Palestinian cause constantly using her social media platforms to speak out. Bella has also been representing Dior since 2016.
Hadid took to her Instagram account last Wednesday, sharing a clip of the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) using white phosphorus in residential areas, calling it ‘a disgrace to humanity.’
