The Palestinian Journalists Syndicate has announced the loss of contact with over a thousand Palestinian journalists affiliated with the syndicate in the Gaza Strip.

The syndicate warned of the continued disruption of communications and internet networks since Friday night, considering it a prelude to committing crimes against them.

In a statement Saturday, the syndicate regarded the statements made by the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) spokesperson, disclaiming responsibility for the lives of the journalists, as a prior justification for a plan that the IOF intends to execute against Palestinian journalists, to prevent them from conveying the IOF's massacres in Gaza to the world.

The syndicate called on international institutions and the International Federation of Journalists to take strong and decisive stances to save the lives of Palestinian journalists in Gaza.
