  • At least eleven Palestinians, including two children, were killed in ‘Israeli’ strikes across northern Gaza.
  • Attacks hit a police vehicle and civilian areas despite an ongoing ceasefire.

At least eleven Palestinians, including a three-year-old child and a fourteen-year-old, were killed in a series of ‘Israeli’ strikes across the northern Gaza Strip on Tuesday, according to Gaza’s Civil Defence and medical sources.

The strikes come amid continued violations of a fragile ceasefire that came into effect in October last year, though it has been repeatedly undermined by ongoing military operations.

Children among the dead

Civil Defence spokesperson Mahmoud Basal said four people were killed in a strike that targeted a police vehicle in Gaza City, including a three-year-old child. Authorities said a police officer was also among the dead, while at least nine civilians were wounded, some critically.

Gaza’s Ministry of Interior said the vehicle was struck in a central area of the city, describing the attack as part of continued ‘Israeli’ aerial operations in populated zones.

Another Palestinian was killed earlier in the day in Beit Lahiya in northern Gaza, according to rescue teams.

Strikes on civilian areas

Later on Tuesday, multiple people were killed near the Shati refugee camp after an ‘Israeli’ drone strike hit a group of civilians close to a busy intersection, medics at Al-Shifa Hospital said.

Health officials reported that several wounded were transported from the scene, with emergency teams describing two missile impacts near a café area in the camp.

Rising toll despite ceasefire

Despite the ceasefire announced in October, ‘Israeli’ forces have continued near-daily strikes across Gaza. Local health authorities say hundreds of Palestinians have been killed since the truce began, with thousands more injured.

Since the start of the war on October 7, 2023, Gaza’s Health Ministry says more than 72,000 Palestinians have been killed, with widespread destruction across residential neighbourhoods, hospitals, and infrastructure.

Humanitarian conditions worsen

Humanitarian groups warn that continued strikes are deepening an already catastrophic situation in Gaza, where displaced families remain in overcrowded shelters with limited access to medical care, clean water, and electricity.

Aid agencies have repeatedly called for full respect of the ceasefire and stronger protection of civilians as conditions on the ground continue to deteriorate.
