Karak names one of its main streets 'Gaza'

The Greater Karak Municipality decided Wednesday to rename one of its main streets 'Gaza,' according to Roya's correspondent.

This is symbolic of Jordanians' noble principles, deepens fraternal ties, expresses genuine sentiments and reaffirms the solidarity of the people of Karak with their brethren in Gaza.

It underscores the Palestinian people's right to determine their own destiny and build their state on their land.

This action also reinforces the values of justice and the rights of people to achieve freedom, dignity and humanity.

The municipality had earlier called for a solidarity stand and a symbolic festival after Friday prayers in the Martyrs' Square, as an expression of support for the Palestinian cause and condemnation of the oppressive Zionist aggression on the Gaza Strip.
