The Israeli Occupation military stated on Monday evening that Nurit Yitzhak and Yochbed Lifshitz, who had been held by the Al-Qassam Brigades in Gaza, were released and handed over to the Red Cross at the Rafah crossing. From there, they will be transferred to Israeli Occupation.

This occurred after the Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, announced the release of the two hostages through mediation by an Egyptian-Qatari parties.

Abu Obaida, the military spokesperson for the Qassam Brigades, confirmed the release and mentioned that the Israeli Occupation side had initially refused to accept them. However, the release was carried out due to humanitarian and medical reasons, even though the Israeli Occupation had allegedly violated the agreed-upon procedures for the handover process.

Previously, the Israeli Occupation military had reported that they had 210 prisoners in Gaza since the start of Operation Al-Aqsa Flood.
