United Nations: Gazans were 'bombed as they headed south'

Martin Griffiths, Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator at the United Nations, affirmed that families in Gaza were bombed while heading south on damaged roads following an evacuation order.

Griffiths stated that the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) demolished entire neighborhoods in Gaza, targeting homes, schools, shelters, healthcare centers, and places of worship. He pointed out that hundreds of thousands in Gaza have no safe haven to turn to.

He added that nearly 2,000 people have been killed in Gaza, and many more have been injured. Relief workers have also lost their lives. 

He emphasized that "war has rules and they must be adhered to at all times and by all parties."
