News sources indicated that the aircraft carrying Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian had to reverse its course on Thursday due to its inability to land in Syria.

This situation arose following Israeli Occupation airstrikes on Damascus Airport. According to the source, Israeli Occupation fighter jets fired multiple missiles from within the occupied territories, targeting the vicinity of the capital, Damascus.

In addition, other aircraft launched missile strikes on Aleppo International Airport from positions above the territorial waters, near the Syrian coast.

The plane intended for Damascus Airport was unable to divert to Aleppo Airport, which was nonoperational, resulting in an emergency return.
