A foreign worker drowned Sunday in the King Abdullah Canal in the Northern Jordan Valley.

Muayyad Al-Shakur, the director of Abu Ubaida Hospital, stated that the 30-year-old worker was rescued by civil defense teams after being pulled from the canal's waters. He was taken to the hospital but passed away before reaching the hospital.

The body was transferred to the Forensic Medicine Center in the Northern Governorate to determine the cause of death.
