The Jordanian Customs Department seized large quantities of untaxed tobacco, unlicensed electronic cigarettes, more than 30,000 counterfeit vape juice bottles, expired medicines, aphrodisiacs, explicit materials, fireworks and other prohibited items.

In collaboration with the Public Security Directorate (PSD), the department carried out extensive inspection rounds covering various commercial establishments engaged in the sale of smuggled goods.

These efforts aim to safeguard the national economy, public health, combat commercial fraud and regulate public health standards.

The inspections are instrumental in maintaining market integrity, raising awareness about the perils of smuggling, and enforcing legal measures against perpetrators.

This intensified campaign was based on intelligence information and involved close cooperation between customs, security forces, and active citizen participation.
