In the early hours of Wednesday morning, the eastern military region successfully intercepted a drone laden with explosive materials (TNT) on one of its border fronts within its designated jurisdiction.

The drone was attempting to cross over from Syrian territory into Jordanian soil.

An authoritative military source from the General Command of the Jordanian Armed Forces (JAF) - the Arab Army stated, "In collaboration with the Drug Control Department and military security services, the Border Guard forces identified an unauthorized border crossing attempt from Syria into Jordan. The drone was downed within Jordanian territory."

The source elaborated that a specialized team from the Royal Engineering Corps effectively managed the situation, neutralizing the drone that was carrying explosive materials of the (TNT) variety.

Underscoring an unwavering commitment to safeguarding national security, the source emphasized that the JAF remains resolute in their response to any threats along the border fronts.
