An undisclosed source with close ties to the investigation has disclosed the harrowing sequence of events surrounding the suicide of a 19-year-old woman.

Sunday, the young woman tragically leaped from the top of Abdoun Bridge in Amman, impacting the ground after a brief suspension from a tree.

The source told Roya Monday that during conversations with the young woman's family, it was uncovered that she had been grappling with depression for a considerable period.

The girl was subsequently rushed to Al-Bashir Hospital following the incident.

The source elaborated that, although medical staff at the hospital administered essential first aid, the young woman survived for around half an hour before succumbing to her injuries.

Her condition was severe, marked by significant bleeding in the abdomen and chest, along with multiple fractures.

Further details emerged after the autopsy report was issued by the National Center for Forensic Medicine (NCFM) including limb fractures, breaches in the abdominal and chest cavities and multiple other fractures.

The ultimate cause of her death was attributed to the extensive bleeding resulting from the fall.

According to a report released by the NCFM, the first half of the current year saw a recorded total of 81 suicide cases in Jordan.
